Cardiology

Lucas Chacon-Lutrick, M.D., is a board-certified Cardiologist. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in México. He completed both a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of New Mexico.

Dr. Chacon-Lutrick is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society for Preventive Cardiology, and the National Hispanic Medical Association. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Ashley Long, ACNP, is a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with New Mexico Heart Institute/Lovelace Medical Group. She earned her master of science in Nursing at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.

Ashley’s clinical experience includes open caring for patients with heart transplants, left and right ventricular assist implantation, cardiac surgery, ECMO circuits, and other high-risk issues.
