Donation from Lovelace Health Systems will pay for defibrillators

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - A donation from Lovelace Health Systems will help save lives across Albuquerque.

The $10,000 donation to the heart hospital of New Mexico's Project Pulse will pay for ten defibrillators. The equipment will then be placed with community organizations like The New Mexico Youth Soccer Association.

Lovelace Health System donates 10 AEDs to Heart Hospital of New Mexico Foundation

ALBUQUERQUE, May 13, 2019 – Through a $10,000 donation, Lovelace Health System has helped the Heart Hospital of New Mexico Foundation’s Project Pulse place 10 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in much-needed community organizations throughout New Mexico.

AEDs are an important part of the resuscitation process, allowing those administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to deliver a jolt of electricity to restart a heart in the critical moments before emergency services professionals can arrive.
