New Mexico Heart Institute

New Mexico's largest and most respected cardiology group has over 45 cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons. The physicians of New Mexico Heart Institute have a 30-year history in New Mexico. The original partners developed and built the heart programs that exist in New Mexico today. This long history includes the development of the open-heart surgery program and cardiac transplant services, and the establishment of the sophisticated cardiac care facilities that New Mexicans have come to expect.

The healthcare team of cardiologists and heart surgeons, physician assistants, registered nurses, cardiac technicians and support staff provides comprehensive heart care and cardiovascular surgical services for patients throughout the region. The New Mexico Heart Institute is one of only a handful of centers in the United States performing carotid stenting procedures to reduce the risk of stroke.
