President/CEO of New Mexico Hospital Association named as ACHE Regent's Award Winner
9/28/2000 - Albuquerque, New Mexico: Maureen Boshier, current president of the New Mexico Hospitals and Health Systems Association (NMHHSA), has been named as the recipient of the prestigious ACHE Senior Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award.
The award was bestowed on Boshier by Trudy Land, the College's Regent for New Mexico and President/CEO of the Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque. The Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award recognizes ACHE affiliates who have extensive experience in the field, and have made significant contributions toward the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of the goals of ACHE.
Nominees for the award are evaluated on leadership ability, innovative and creative management, executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community, contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession, leadership in industry associations and activities, and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Ms. Boshier has over 25 years of experience in both the private and public healthcare sectors, including senior management positions at the University of New Mexico Hospital. She has also received numerous other awards recognizing her contributions within the healthcare field, including a Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women, and a YWCA Women on the Move award.
